Telkom Brand Refresh Aims to Reignite Customer Engagement

Telkom has officially unveiled its new brand identity, marking the first major visual update to its image since 2014. The Telkom brand refresh includes an updated logo, fresh design elements, and a public activation campaign aimed at connecting with South African consumers on a deeper level.

At the heart of the rebrand is the “Dynamic T”, a bold redesign of Telkom’s iconic ‘T’ logo. The company says the refreshed logo reflects its commitment to adaptability, innovation, and customer focus in a rapidly evolving telecoms landscape.

“Our Telkom ‘T’ logo is iconic… As we signal the future, we will refresh our ‘T’ logo as a commitment to staying dynamic and relevant to the needs of our customers,” the company stated on its inTouch blog.

H3: Telkom Brand Refresh Goes Beyond Visual Change

The Telkom brand refresh introduces a brighter colour palette, updated typography, and a new design system. These changes are being applied across all Telkom’s platforms, including consumer and business channels.

As part of its launch, Telkom has organized a nationwide activation campaign, which includes interactive pop-up events and digital engagement zones. These installations aim to immerse the public in the new look and emphasize Telkom’s renewed mission.

“This is more than a rebrand – it’s a movement. Our new identity stands tall as a symbol of South Africa’s possibilities,” the company added.

A Strategic Move in a Competitive Telecoms Market

This visual overhaul arrives at a critical time for Telkom. The company is positioning itself for long-term growth in a market where digital transformation and network infrastructure investment are key.

By refreshing its brand identity, Telkom signals its intention to stay ahead of competitors and better align with customer expectations. The move also helps modernize its image while reinforcing core values like connectivity, trust, and innovation.

Telkom’s last major redesign occurred in 2014, when it retired the “keypad” logo in favour of a simpler, more digital-friendly design. The new “Dynamic T” builds on that legacy, offering a future-forward image that reflects both heritage and ambition.
